First visit to the Austin Zoo

We went to the Austin Zoo and Sanctuary for the first time today. It's not too big which makes it easy to walk around. Plus there is a lot of shade so maybe we can go there during the summer too. There aren't any elephants or giraffes, but there are lots of big cats, bears, monkeys, and tortoises. All of the animals were rescued from other zoos or from private ownership. They even have a couple of longhorns that you can see on the train ride. And there are peacocks roaming around the grounds. And a kangaroo named Jason.

Here is a very lazy tiger.

There is also an area where visitors can feed the goats, deer, sheep, and llamas. We had fun there too.

We will definitely be going back to the zoo!
