San Diego Trip Wrapup

Well we are back from a four night trip to San Diego. It's worth a recap, since it's the last relaxing trip we will have for the next 20 years.

We stayed our first two nights at this B&B, very close to Balboa Park. It's in a nice central location, definitely recommended.

Wife relaxes on the sofa in our room.

Here are a few pictures from Balboa Park. This is a huge park and it contains the famous San Diego zoo. We didn't go to the zoo but we walked around for awhile.

Blue lips effect after eating Hawaiian shave ice.

Crazy cactus.

On Saturday we went out to Point Loma and the Cabrillo National Monument. This is right out on the edge of the land. It was a cool, overcast morning. We thought it was always sunny in San Diego. Apparently not.

This is looking inland. The San Diego skyline is in there someplace.

On Sunday we drove up to Carlsbad and spent two nights with Holly's college friend Summer and her husband Ryan.

Here we are at the San Diego Botanical Garden.

We didn't take any pictures of Ryan and Summer, but we did take pictures of their dogs:

Cho-cho

Mr. Peepers, who breathes like Darth Vader and smells like Jabba the Hut

Jack, the smart but frustrated border collie.

We also did some things that didn't photograph well, such as going to the movies and eating lots of food. It was a fun little trip.
